Our History
The Clemson Photography Club was formed in 2009 by three Clemson University faculty and staff. Over that time, we grew to 60+ members, but when COVID broke out, the restrictions affected our membership greatly.
Due to the dedication of many of our members, the Club survived. On October 20, 2025, the Club celebrated 16-years in conjunction with our 15th Annual Juried Member Show at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Clemson University. Thank you, OLLI, for continuing to host our Annual Member Show.
We will continue to grow our membership as we revamp the club with the base goals still in the forefront:
- Create an environment for learning about photography and participating in photographic activities
- Sharing our knowledge to assist each other in becoming better photographers and teaching others who desire to learn
- And … have fun in our hobby
Club activities include:
- Juried Member Photo Exhibit held in the fall of each year
- Professional presenters in a variety of fields
- Presentations/slideshows by members highlighting their achievements, new skills learned, software programs, and local and international trips
- Photographic field trips
