Photos at Walk for Water

Clemson Area Walk for Water, an event in the SC Botanical Garden on April 22, is seeking a photographer to donate time making candid photos of the event. You can find out more about the event at this website. If interested, please contact Joanne Trenholm. If you are interested in this event, or might volunteer your time for future non-profit events, please let them know at The Arts Center.

Earth Art Competition

A walking tour of the SC Botanical Gardens will be held Sunday, March 11, 2012, beginning at the Class of '39 Caboose. This is part of an art competition based on nature based sculpture found in the Gardens. For more information on the walking tour and the competition rules, see this document. The deadline for this competition has been extended to 5:00pm April 10.

Anderson Arts Center Juried Show

Thirty-Third Annual South Carolina Artists Competition

Pickens County Museum is accepting entries March 31 through April 11 for one of the premier artist's shows in the upstate. For more information visit the museum website and download the prospectus.

Sierra Club Foothills Group Photo Contest

The Foothills Group of the Sierra Club is holding a photo contest with categories Wildlife and Landscape. There will be a grand prize of $150 (gift card for Outdoor Adventures), and the category winners will each receive a gift card of $70. Photos submitted may be used by the Sierra Club Foothills Group on their website, Facebook page, and in print and other digital materials. The contest runs until March 5. Alliance Pickens Publishing Opportunity

Alliance Pickens, the economic development organization of Pickens County, is a non-profit corporation which is renovating its website. They need high quality photographs for the site and other marketing functions. While it is not likely that Alliance Pickens can pay for photographs, they ask that interested photographs considering allowing them use of photographs. Copyright and all other uses remain the property of the photographer. Clemson Photo Archive

Make photos that show something of interest about Clemson, SC and submit them to the Clemson Photo Archive. The Clemson Photo Archive contains photographs submitted by volunteer photographers and reviewed by a panel of the Clemson Photo Club. The panel is charged with selecting photographs on their merits and for how they represent city life. Copyright remains with the photographer and, while these photographs may be freely viewed, further use is not allowed without explicit permission. Photographs no larger than 1024x768 may be submitted by their owners by email to clemsoncommunityphotos@clemsonphotoclub.com. If submissions are accepted by the review panel, they will require full size digital files and documentation of ownership and content by the photographer.Visit the Clemson Community Photography Project site for detailed information.
